What is “Junktown”?

While originally a pejorative name for the city of Grand Junction, "Junktown" is beginning to be embraced by the creative and artistic communities of our town.

Set in Grand Junction, CO, the largest city between Denver and Salt Lake City, the Junktown Film Festival is a one-evening event hosted at the Historic Avalon Theater in the heart of downtown, with easy access to award-winning restaurants and breweries. To the east of town is the Grand Mesa, the world's largest flat-top mesa, while the red rock spires of the Colorado National Monument stand in the west. In addition to world-famous mountain biking, the area offers a growing number wineries, horseback riding, and river rafting.

The Junktown Film Festival is operated in conjunction with the Avalon Theater Foundation. We are all volunteers and your generous contributions make our festival happen.

Please note on your donation that it is for the Junktown Film Festival.
